The Society of Editors’ Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging site was created to provide information and support related to training, recruitment, practical support, career progression and mentoring within the media industry. It highlights good practices and shares practical initiatives that promote diversity and inclusion in journalism.
Media organisations are constantly evolving their best practice and new ideas, so the site is a work in progress rather than an exhaustive list. It will be regularly updated with further resources, aiming to assist individuals at every stage in their career – from school leavers looking to join the profession to leaders seeking to recruit.
