Book now: ITV News Editor to discuss priorities for the year ahead alongside importance of ongoing access to government figures

Registration is open for the Society’s third In Discussion with… series of keynote talks with Rachel Corp, Editor of ITV News.

Taking place on Thursday 26 November at 12 Noon, Corp will be in conversation with the Society’s Executive Director Ian Murray as part of a Virtual Conference for 2020.

Looking ahead to the free-to-register discussion, Murray said that it would provide a unique opportunity to hear more from Corp about her priorities for the future and her thoughts on a number of key issues. 

He said: “We are delighted that Rachel will be participating in the Society’s Virtual Conference for 2020 and we look forward to her insight on a number of issues. From the importance of enhanced journalistic access to government figures, ITV’s unique coverage during the Covid-19 pandemic, the role of broadcasters and polling during the recent US Election, the importance of journalistic opinion, ITV’s targeting of new audiences via digital platforms and its priorities for the year ahead, we have no doubt that it will be both an insightful and interesting discussion.”

Corp’s In Discussion With…talk follows earlier keynote discussions with BBC Editorial Director Kamal Ahmed and the Lord Chief Justice Lord Burnett of Maldon as part of the Society’s programme of events during its Virtual Conference for 2020.

Upcoming talks include In Discussion With… the Media Minister John Whittingdale MP on Tuesday 1 December and Christian Broughton, Managing Director of The Independent on Thursday 3 December.
