The Journalists’ Charity invites you to join its competition entrants at a special virtual ceremony co-hosted by Mr Ian Dickens, Great Great Grandson of the literary legend Charles Dickens, to find out who has been successful in creating a modern day Dickensian character worthy of his attention.
The event will take place via Zoom at 7:00pm BST on Wednesday 15th of July.
The announcement will mark 150 years since the death of Charles Dickens who helped to found the Journalists’ Charity, an organisation which supports journalists struggling through tough times, nationwide.
Launched with the support of the Dickens Fellowship, the competition attracted a large number of submissions and, although not a requirement for entry, we are very grateful for the donations which will help the charity to assist those journalists who are now facing hardship because of impact of Covid-19.
