Booking link correction: Clive Myrie to speak at tribute to Sir Harold Evans lecture

A lecture on British journalism and impartiality by BBC journalist Clive Myrie is to be held to honour Sir Harold Evans who died last year.

The tribute to celebrate Sir Harold’s life and legacy will be shown on March 11 on YouTube. The event, produced by John Mair, is being supported by the Society of Editors and the London Press Club. It will be introduced by Sir Harold’s widow, Tina Brown.

The lecture by distinguished BBC news presenter and award-winning reporter Clive Myrie’s lecture is entitled: Over here, over there: Lessons from the USA. Why British TV journalism needs to be fair and impartial.

Myrie will discuss his own experiences in the USA during the 2020 election, and will talk about Sir Harold’s ground-breaking journalism with the Sunday Times.

It will be chaired by Helen Boaden, the BBC’s former Director of News and Director of Radio.

The event will take place on Thursday March 11 at 6pm.
