The Daily Mail is launching a green zine featuring an exclusive interview with environmentalist and broadcaster Sir David Attenborough.
The carbon neutral, biodegradable ECO2 magazine comes out in tomorrow’s Mail, and will also offer a comment from adventurer Ben Fogle about his new film on a green future.
The first issue – edited by Louise Atkinson – launches with the strapline ‘Celebrating sustainability for a greener world’ with a front cover incorporating a world of renewable energy, plant-based food and eco-friendly transportation.
The supplement will see Lucy Siegle offer tips on slowing the pace of fast fashion and TV explorer Simon Reeve will share his post-Covid travel dreams.
350,000 copies of the magazine will be produced bi-annually and distributed in every M&S and Waitrose nationwide.
Grant Woodthorpe, Executive Director – Investment at Mail Metro Media told Newsworks: “This inaugural edition has been a long time in the making so we are hugely excited that we can finally share it with our readers. We know that ECO2 will be an important editorial contribution to the fight against environmental change and will give advertisers a safe, positive environment in which to show their eco-credibility to Daily Mail’s keenly environmentally-conscious audience.”
