The Society of Editors’ high profile media conference will be returning this year with a focus on the future of news.
Considered a major highlight of the media calendar, the conference will take place on Wednesday 11 May 2022 at Mary Ward House in London and will bring together speakers and figures from across the industry with in-person discussions planned on technological trends and innovation and avenues for engaging audiences and making content pay.
Dawn Alford, Executive Director of the Society of Editors said: “Following our last virtual conference in November 2020, the Society is delighted to once again bring industry figures together to discuss the fantastic journalism that is coming out of UK newsrooms.
“We want the conference to be as accessible as possible so mindful of time pressures and budgets, it will be a one-day event at half the price of previous conferences. With high-profile speakers and engaging topics to be announced, it will be a must-attend event for the industry with lively debates and discussions translating into practical ideas to take back to newsrooms. Spaces at the venue will be limited so I would advise delegates to book early and make use of the early-bird discount.”
The Society’s campaigning work on behalf of press freedom is made possible thanks to the support of Camelot, Meta and Google.
