The Society of Editors is calling on its membership and newsletter subscribers to tell us why Journalism Matters to you. 

Ahead of the News Media Association’s #JournalismMatters week from Monday 5 -11 October, the Society is looking to compile quotes on the importance of trusted journalism and the role it plays in our society.

Ian Murray, Executive Director of the SoE has called on the Society’s membership and contacts to get in touch with their view on why journalism matters to them.

He said: “We know journalism matters but we want to project the message loud and clear from our members just why the work they are their teams do is so vital to the communities they serve.”
