The Worshipful Company of Stationers and Newspaper Makers is delighted that one of its Honorary Freemen and Liverymen, Vint Cerf, has accepted its invitation to deliver the Company’s Annual Lecture at Stationers’ Hall on 11 March 2020 at 6pm. Vint is one of the founding fathers of the internet with a profound interest in the future of documents and the importance of their longevity in an online world. He will speak on the theme of The Future of Text.
At Google, Vint Cerf contributes to global policy development and continued spread of the Internet. He was the co-designer of the TCP/IP protocols and the architecture of the Internet hence his being called the Father of the Internet and he has served extensively on various internet research and control bodies.
Taking as his topic The Future of Text, no doubt Vint will focus on some innovative new authoring and reading applications featuring the power of text interaction with the assistance of powerful computing. Afterwards, he will field questions from the audience.
Two types of ticket are available: to the Lecture and to the Lecture plus Dinner. Both can be purchased online on the Stationers’ Hall website.
