In spite of this year’s difficult circumstances, the Society of Editors is determined that the hard work done by journalists in the regional and local press should not go unrecognised.
With the support of headline sponsor Facebook Journalism Project, over the past few weeks the Society has put in the daily spotlight the category shortlists and introducing the nominees and their work.
But with the winners of the Regional Press Awards for 2019 to be announced tomorrow, now is the time to meet the nominees for the hotly-contested Newspaper of the Year categories.
