As Regional Press Award trophies are making their way to journalists, editors and teams, we hope to be able to bring you as many photographs as possible of the worthy winners receiving their awards.

Despite the best efforts of the coronavirus crisis to thwart the annual celebration, the SoE is gathering a virtual gallery of winners to celebrate the winners’ achievement following the digital ceremony earlier this year.

Today we meet Debbie Rodman who picked up the title of Designer of the Year for Newspapers.

Debbie works for Iliffe Media-owned Bury Free Press. Her submission included the creation of the Culture section, which brings the best of what’s on to five Suffolk titles.

The judges commended the classy, stylish design and layout of Debbie’s work. They praised her “good cross section of the skills to draw readers to pages that often don’t get the credit they deserve.”
